Truffle market in Richerenches

The Richerenches truffle market is a weekly market held every Saturday morning from late November to early March in this village in Vaucluse, Provence, 12 km from Pavillon M. It is one of the largest truffle markets in France. Local truffle farmers come to sell their fresh truffles and traders from all over the region come to buy them to export or sell to restaurants. It is a meeting place for truffle enthusiasts and curious visitors who want to discover this mysterious and delicious mushroom. In addition to truffles, you can find other local products such as wine, honey, olive oil, and cheese.

The market is a true institution in the region and attracts many visitors every year from all over France and even from abroad.

Not to be missed for folklore enthusiasts: on the 3rd Sunday of November, the "Ban des Truffes" takes place. It is a very popular ceremony that marks the official opening of the black truffle season in the region of Drôme Provençale. During this day, local truffle farmers present their harvests, demonstrations of truffle hunting with dogs are organized, and truffles are sold at auction.

During this entire period, Pavillon M organizes truffle discovery weekends. More information: Truffle Stay at Pavillon M
